Today’s photos are deliberately overexposed.  I Like the way over- exposed shots often look. They have a way of effortlessly manipulating the eye and invoking imagination.

Try clicking on either photo. I especially like the geese photo when it stands alone.

Thanks for coming!

These are pictures of some of my favorite trinkets around my apartment. Using digital, it is easy to experiment and play; today I wanted to play a little with lighting. So I used candles and sunbeams!

Keep checking back as I plan to add more variety and more portfolio-like pictures. However, I do not plan to discontinue nature photography and my current favorite styles.

Thanks y’all!

The past few days I have been playing with my new digital camera. I think you understand that it is a very different experience than shooting film. However, I have been enjoying digital very much. And branching out- taking pictures of everything I eat, pictures at work, and on the street as I work through the manual and get acquainted with my new appendage.

You will notice a few changes made to the blog in keeping up with these new technologies, including a digital photography page, and soon to be, a  portfolio page.

Here are shots taken during  wanderings on my birthday.

As well as some big news in my photography life: I now have a DSLR camera!

I want to thank my lovely folks for that.

So that means there will begin to be more than just film photography on this site starting very soon.

More Ballard art.

Ballard. Pentax, 35mm.

More Ballard art. Although similar to this picture; a slightly different angle produced a very different result.

Do you have a preference between the two?

And what aspects  make or break one for you?

I prefer today’s photo. I think it is more interesting, with a skewed perspective and subject.

Ballard. Pentax, 35mm.

This was taken on a walk through Old Ballard. Denver, as well as Seattle has Street and sidewalk art.

Although not too ambitious of a goal, I plan to go out and get a good shot of some Denver sidewalk art.

And until I have that, or have new pictures, I am going to post more street art related photographs. Some you have seen before, others may be new.

 Thanks for being here!
